Arunachal Pradesh hands over missing IPS officer case to SIT

In The Arunachal Pradesh Government has handed over the case of missing IPS officer M S Chauhan to a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the state police. Mr. Chauhan went missing mysteriously from Tippi on Tuesday, when he was going to Tawang from Itanagar with Inspector Mohan Kaye and Constable Vikram Singh.

Mr. Chauhan was transferred to Delhi on 8th October and relieved from the duty on 10th of this month. An IPS officer of 1998 batch of the Union Territory cadre, Mr. Chauhan was heading the SIC constituted by the Guwahati High Court in 2008 to probe the multi-crore PDS scam in Arunachal Pradesh.
