Arunachal Pradesh govt aims at reviving tourism industry in state

Arunachal Pradesh government is in the process of reviving the tourism industry in the state which is one of the most affected sectors due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. <br />''<br />''Sadhana Deori, state's Tourism Secretary said that the department is working on a package which is aimed at providing relief to the affected entrepreneurs associated with this sector, like hoteliers, home stays etc. She said that fine tuning of the same is under process.<br />'' <br />''Speaking to AIR, Mrs. Deori said that in the coming days Arunachal Tourism department will focus on Niche Tourism, Spiritual and Adventure tourism. She added that the state tourism department will be more aggressive in the marketing and promotion of this mode of tourism. <br />''<br />''The Tourism secretary said that keeping in view the SOPs for social distancing, encouragement will be given to those activities where there will be less interaction with the community, like trekking, birding, angling, nature trail and rafting etc. <br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">She also said that familiarization tours will be given importance. Under this the department will invite travel writers, bloggers and media for promotion of the state's tourist destinations.</span><br />
