Along with the rest of the nation, Arunachal Pradesh also celebrated the 73rd Republic Day today. The main state function was held at IG Park in Itanagar. Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig. (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd.) unfurled the national flag on the occasion at IG Park Itanagar and took a salute from the parade. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mishra highlighted all the major achievements of the state government and sought more co-operation from the public to become one of the most advanced states in the country. On the recent surge of COVID19 cases in the state, the Governor said that Arunachal Pradesh government has set up adequate numbers of COVID Wards, Oxygen Plants, ICU Units, and more than 1000 Oxygen Beds across Arunachal Pradesh. He said, the Pandemic is still not over and appealed to all the people of the State to strictly observe COVID appropriate behavior.<br />'' <br />'' Later, names for this year's 'State Awards were announced by the Chief Secretary. The name of 9 villages for the 'Chief Minister's Award for Cleanest Village' in the state were also announced on the occasion.&nbsp;
