Arunachal Pradesh becomes first state in North-East India to achieve 100 % saturation of Har Ghar Jal under Jal Jeevan Mission

Arunachal Pradesh has become the first state in the North-East India and 10th in the country to achieve 100 percent saturation of Har Ghar Jal under Jal Jeevan Mission. Sharing this achievement of the state on a social media post Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that it exemplifies the total dedication and commitment of Team Aruanchal in meeting the goals that was set.<br />''<br />''He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for guiding and supporting them in every endeavour in building a self-reliant Arunachal Pradesh. The Chief Minister informed that the Centre's Rs 396541.22 lakh and State's Rs 45551.18 lakh ensured that every household in the state has clean and safe piped water.<br />''<br />''Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the 'Jal Jeevan Mission – Har Ghar Jal' on 15th August, 2019. The mission aims at  improving the 'quality of life' and enhanced 'ease of living' in rural areas by making a provision of assured tap water supply to every rural household in the country by 2024. Jal Jeevan Mission is being implemented in partnership with States.<br />
