Arunachal Govt. announces seven- day state mourning

Arunachal government has announced a seven-day state mourning beginning today in respect of Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu who was killed in a chopper crash in Tawang. The dead body of the late Chief Minister is on its way to Itanagar from Tawang in an Indian Air Force helicopter. The remaining bodies of the four persons killed along with Dorjee Khandu have been kept in Tawang for autopsy. AIR correspondent reports, thousands of people have been waiting eagerly in front of the Chief Minister’s Bungalow to have a last glimpse of their beloved leader. People have also been lining up the streets of Itanagar along the route from the Raj Bhavan helipad to the Chief Minister’s residence. A holiday has declared for the state today
