Arunachal bridge collapse: Massive search continues for missing persons

Massive search continues for the missing 14 persons who had fallen into the Kameng river after a ropeway bridge collapsed at Seppa in north-western Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday evening. Four deaths have been officially confirmed so far. The local police, paramilitary forces, army divers and local people are carrying out the search at specified locations.Meanwhile, the Arunachal government has announced an ex-gratia of one lakh rupees each to the families of those killed and 25,000 rupees to those injured. Lok Sabha MP from the state, Takam Sanjoy has also announced similar amounts of ex-gratia from his MP local area development fund.
