Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said that Arunachal alone has the potential to produce 58,160 MW of hydropower, which is 40 per cent of India's total hydropower capacity.<br />'' <br />''Attending a review meeting with all the large hydropower developers who have been allotted Hydro Electric Projects in the state in New Delhi, Mr Mein, who is also the Power Minister of the state, said that hydropower can play a crucial role for the country and state's sustainable development and energy security as it meets the criteria of sustainability, availability and reliability.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The two day review meeting was convened to know and address the various issues and problem related to slow progress or stalled Hydropower projects in Arunachal Pradesh. Mr. Mein urged all the developers to speed up the process of developing the projects in war footing. A total of 32 developers attended the meeting.</span><br />
