Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today appealed to the farmers to come forward and avail benefits from Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna. He also called upon the banks and insurance companies to actively participate in the scheme. He was addressing a seminar in Mumbai after rolling out Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Unified Package Insurance Scheme. Mr. Jaitley said, the farmers will pay less for much larger risks under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna. After two consecutive years of bad monsoon, this year will be crucial for all, especially for the farmers.
