Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today rooted for discarding paper currency and eventually switching over to cheques and plastic currency. Addressing a gathering on the occasion of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited, SPMCIL's Foundation Day, Mr Jaitley said incentive use of plastic curency is the eventual target for any growing economy. He said currency kept in an accounted way is a symbol of honest wealth and will help in keeping check on black money. The Minister appreciated the progress made by SPMCIL in the production of bank notes and coins.
