Arun Jaitley attacks Amarinder Singh over his family's alleged foreign accounts

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today attacked Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh over his family's alleged foreign accounts.

Mr Jaitley also took a dig at Aam Aadmi Party, which he said is more interested in creating controversies than running the government. The Finance Minister said, under the Modi government the country is firmly moving ahead on the path of development and claimed that the Congress is constantly shrinking across the country.

Mr Jaitley was addressing 'Vikas Parv' rally in Bathinda in the Malwa region of Punjab organised to mark the completion of two years of NDA government at the Centre.

He said, the information about the former Punjab Chief Minister and Senior Congress leader's bank accounts in Switzerland was given by the French authorities in 2011 when UPA government was in power at the Centre. Mr Jaitley accused the Congress-led UPA government of going slow in the case involving the Capt Amrinder Singh's family.

Hitting out at AAP, Mr Jaitley said people in Delhi are repenting voting it to power. He accused the AAP of indulging in false propaganda and creating controversies in the national capital, while being least concerned about running of the government in Delhi. With Punjab going to polls early next year, Mr Jaitley said the state has to be saved from the type of politics practised by the AAP.
