Arun Jaitley assures Armed Forces, capital expenditure will be priority with resource availability increasing within Indian economy

Addressing Unified Commanders' Conference in New Delhi today, Mr Jaitley said, there is a clear realization in the government that issues relating to the Services cannot be kept pending for long and the government will be decisive in its approach.<br/><br/>The Minister said, there is a deep sense of appreciation in every citizen of the country and the Government for the exemplary manner in which the Services have been conducting themselves. He expressed his satisfaction in the way the Armed Forces have been handling the multiple challenges to security. <br/><br/>Mr Jaitley also appreciated the strong thread of Synergy in the interactions during the Conference. Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat, Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra and Chief of Integrated Staff, Lieutenant General Satish Dua also addressed the conference. <br/><br/>The conference was attended by the Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and senior military and civil officials of the Ministry of Defence and Tri-Service Organisations and Institutions.
