Finance Minister Arun Jaitely will hold a quarterly performance review meeting with heads of public sector banks and state run financial institutions today. In a statement, the Finance Ministry said the focus of the review meet will be on overall credit growth with specific reference to agriculture credit, MSE credit and housing loans. The Ministry will also review the banks' performance with regard to their handling of non-performing assets, implementation of guidelines relating to consortium lending, interest subvention scheme. The Finance Ministry said, issues relating to financing of Women Self Help Groups, Banking Sector Reforms and Atal Pension Yojana are also likely to come-up for discussion during the one day performance review meeting.
