Art can help bridge political differences: Shashi Tharoor

The Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor has said that art can help bridge the political differences between India and some of its neighbours.<br/><br/>Inaugurating a handicrafts exhibition of South Asian countries in New Delhi, Mr.Tharoor in an apparent reference to Pakistan, said that there are sadly few lingering tensions with certain countries. He noted that sharing of creativity has the potential to turn relations across political divisions. <br/><br/>Mr.Tharoor had special praise for women artisans, saying the networks built by them are deeper and more effective than those built by men.
