ART Bill to regulate assisted reproductive technologies service to protect affected women & children from exploitation

<span style="color: #222222;">Government has taken up several progressive steps with regard to women's health. Cabinet has last month approved the Assisted Reproductive Technologies Regulation, ART Bill to regulate the assisted reproductive technologies service to protect affected women and children from exploitation. <br />''<br />''It mandates creation of a national board to lay down and implement a code of conduct for people working at IVF clinics. The bill intends to make genetic testing of the embryo mandatory before implantation for the benefit of the child born through Assisted Reproductive Technologies-ART. The Regulation of ART services in the country leads to infertile couples being more ensured and confident of the ethical practices in ART clinics.</span><br />
