A judge in Pakistan has ordered an arrest warrant to be issued against Interior Minister Rehman Malik on corruption charges. his comes after the supreme court ruled on Wednesday that an amnesty protecting senior members of government was unconstitutional. Mr Malik is among about 250 officials whose corruption and criminal cases have been re-opened. The controversial amnesty was brought in by the former president, Pervez Musharraf, and its scrapping opens the way forpossible prosecution of allies of the current President, Asif Zardari. Meanwhile, Pakistan's main opposition, the Pakistan Muslim League-N of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has asked the president to resign.
