External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said the Government has made arrangements for the evacuation of Indians from South Sudan and has set up a task force to closely monitor developments in the war-torn country. Speaking to media in New Delhi today, Mrs Swaraj said, the situation in South Sudan has reportedly improved since last night and all arrangements are in place to evacuate Indians in case the situation deteriorates further. <br/><br/>She said, even if the situation remains alright, the Government will ask them to return if they want and will get them out. Mrs. Swaraj today also held a high-level meeting during which ways to coordinate emergency assistance to Indians there were also discussed. The issue also came up for discussion during the high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the forenoon. There are around 600 Indians in South Sudan, of them 450 are in capital city of Juba and nearly 150 are outside Juba.
