The Income Tax department has detected around 72 thousand crore rupees of undisclosed income after conducting massive searches, seizures and surveys over the last three years. In an affidavit filed before the Supreme Court, the Finance Ministry said, during the period of demonetisation from 9th of November last year to 10th January, the total undisclosed income admitted was more than 5,400 crore rupees. The total quantity of gold seized stood at more 300 kilograms. <br/>
