Around 75 per cent voting in WB municipal elections

In West Bengal, around 75 percent voters have cast their franchise in election for 81 Municipalities including Kolkata Municipal Corporation. <br/> <br/>The election passed off by and large peaceful barring few stray incidents. State Election Commissioner Meira Pandey said that repoll may take place in two polling booths in Kolkata due to technical snag in EVM. <br/> <br/>At Batuli in South 24 Pargana District, one person was injured by firing of the central para military forces. Police arrested 45 persons so far from different parts of the state on charges of various poll related irregularities. The counting of votes will take place on Wednesday.<br/><br/>
