Around 6,700 senior citizens & persons above 45 years with co-morbidities vaccinated against COVID-19 in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, around 6,700 senior citizens and persons above 45 years with co-morbidities were vaccinated yesterday. At many places including Mumbai, peoples gave an overwhelming response to vaccination. AIR correspondent reports that, a total of 12 lakh 28 thousand and 211 beneficiaries have been vaccinated till date for COVID-19 preventative vaccine in Maharashtra. It includes around 6.66 lakh health care workers out of which around 1.7 lakh received 2nd dose of vaccine. A total of 3.88 lakh front line workers are also inoculated with the covid-19 vaccine in the state.<br />'' <br />''The Health department data shows, in the state 3 thousand 777 people above the age of sixty vaccinated on the 1st day of the next phase. A total of 946 persons with comorbidities and who are within the age group of 45 to 60 also turned up for vaccination at government and private hospitals yesterday.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In Mumbai Persons above age 45 having comorbidity and Sr. citizens gave an overwhelming response to the vaccination drive. As per the data shared by BMC, around 165 per cent of people from these categories turned up for vaccination on the first day. In addition to State governments data, BMC said that, 1 thousand 722 sr. citizens and 260 persons above the age of 45 and with comorbidities inoculated on the first day.</span><br />
