<span style="color: #222222;">Government today informed that around five lakh 70 thousands inhabited village including gram panchayats have been covered by the mobile service. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Electronics and Information Technology Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, mobile coverage in remaining villages is being provided by the government and telecom service providers in a phased manner. <br />''<br />''He said, around four lakh nine thousand kilometer optical fiber cable have been laid down till the last month and around one lakh 33 thousands gram panchayats have been made service ready. Mr. Prasad said, Bharat Net project is being implemented in a phased manner to provide broadband connectivity to all the gram panchayats.</span><br />
