Around 450 militants are waiting across the Line of Control in training camps and launching pads waiting for an opportunity to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir State. This was stated by General Officer Commanding (GOC), 25 Infantry Division, Maj Gen Om Prakash while talking to media persons on the sidelines of a function at Nagrota in Jammu today. The Army Commander said that Infiltration attempts will increase with the melting of snow but at the same time he added that army is well prepared to meet the challenge.The General Officer Commanding said that as per intelligence reports, there are about 42 training camps across the LoC wherein about 450 terrorists are lodged who are ready for infiltration. He said the nefarious designs and their attempts to infiltrate into this side to create disturbances will be foiled at any cost by the Army. Maj. Gen said that terrorism would be wiped out of the Pir Panjal Range in the coming days adding, “in recent days, top terrorist commanders have been eliminated by the alert security forces.’ He expressed the hope that peace will soon be restored across Jammu and Kashmir soon.
