Around 300 unaccompanied Afghan children evacuated from Kabul: UNICEF

<span style="color: #222222;">Around 300 unaccompanied Afghan children have been evacuated from Kabul since the Taliban took over on 15 August, United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) said on Tuesday.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The fund added that many more have been separated from their parents in the chaos that unfolded after Taliban laid siege to Kabul.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The fund expect this number to rise through ongoing identification efforts, Unicef chief Henrietta Fore said in a statement to the media.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Unicef along with its partner agencies have been involved in registering the evacuees who have been airlifted out of Kabul since 14 August.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Some of the children who left Afghanistan have been evacuated on flights to the United States, Germany, Qatar and other countries, the UN agency told reporters.</span><br />
