<span style="color: #222222;">In Tajikistan, around 20 prisoners and two guards have been killed in clashes at a maximum security prison in the northern city of Khujand. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A security source today confirmed the number of victims and said a further six guards had been injured. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The source said a riot involving dozens of prisoners occurred last night and continued into today. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The riot had begun when prisoners seized cutting objects from a workshop in the prison in Khujand. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It is located north of the capital, Dushanbe and has seen prison breaks in the past. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Tajikistan government has yet to confirm the prison riot or the deaths.</span><br />
