Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot has said that, Around 19 lakh Divyang persons have benefitted from various schemes of the central government in the last six years. Various equipment amounting to Rs. 1100 Crore have also been distributed among them.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''He was speaking at the occasion of foundation stone laying ceremony of the hostel building at Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) Mumbai.&nbsp; In phase one, a 4 storey hostel with 30 rooms that can accommodate 60 students will be constructed.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">It is targeted to be completed by next year. In Phase 2, an 8 storey building will be constructed which will benefit around 140 students of the institute.</span><br />
