According to Chinese media reports, at least 40 homes in the village of Xinmo have also been destroyed by the natural disaster in the Maoxian County of China's Sichuan Province. <br/>The government of the province said the landslide from a mountain fell onto the village in early morning today. It blocked a 2 kilometer section of a river. <br/>The incident was reportedly triggered by heavy rain around 6am local time. The county government's website says search and rescue efforts are under way.
