Army’s own probe on into Noor Taposh attack :ISPR

In Bangladesh, the case of the car Bomb attack case on Barrister and Awami League MP Fazle Noor Taposh has taken a new turn with media reports of the alleged involvement of army personnel in the attack. In a statement issued today, the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate said the army is investigating the case and stern legal action would be taken against army personnel if found involved in the attack. The statement also urged the media not to publish and broadcast any news about the army without having concrete information. Barrister Taposh’s car was targeted by a bomb last month in Dhaka. Taposh managed to escape, but several bystanders were injured. The Dhaka police have already arrested some relatives of those convicted in the Bangabandhu’s assassination case in which the appeal is currently being heard in the Supreme Court. The ruling Awami league has alleged that the attack was part of the efforts to derail the judicial process in the Bangabandhu Assassination Case.
