In Gujarat, Golden Katar Division of Indian Army along with Parbat Ali Brigade today celebrated the golden jubilee of 1965 Indo-Pak war. A special programme was organized at Gandhinagar Military Station to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the war. <br/><br/>Veterans who were a part of the war and the war widows were felicitated on the occasion. Veterans recalled the memories of the war in which Indian soldiers showed exemplary courage to fetch victory for the country.<br/><br/>Ayesha Begam, wife of late Major M/A Sheikh, recipient of Veerchakra award, shared the memories of how her husband had sticked to the battlefield till his last breath. Colonel Subhash Chadha who had fought in the war narrated pre-war incidents of Pakistani infiltration which had triggered the war.
