Armymen have done India proud by winning 10 medals in the ongoing Commonwealth Games including five gold medals. Four of the five gold medals were won in shooting, of which Subedar Vijay Kumar bagged two and Subedar Imran hasan Khan and Hawaldar Gurpreet Singh bagged one each. Rest of the medals were won in weighlifting and wrestling. Hawaldar K Ravi Kumar won a gold medal in weighlifting. Hawaldar Suken Singh won a silver medal while Hawaldar V S Rao won a bronze medal in 56 kg category weighlifting. Naib Subedar Manoj Kumar won a silver medal in wrestling.
