The Army is seeking specialised close-quarter strike weapons following the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. A senior Defence official told newsmen in New Delhi on Wednesday that the Army is buying specialised weapons that would enable its commandos to observe and fire at the enemy, hiding in a corner during urban warfare. AIR correspondent reports that such hi-tech weapons can be fired without exposing the troops to the enemies.
