Army Commander Northern Command Lieutenant General Devraj Anbu has said that terrorist outfits Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Toiba are hand in glove and planning attacks in Jammu and Kashmir but the Army is well equipped and prepared to foil their nefarious designs. <br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in Udhampur on Wednesday, he said, security forces are capable enough to deal with any terrorist threat at the border as well as the hinterland.<br/><br/>The Army Commander expressed concern over youth joining terror groups and emphasized the need to address this trend. <br/><br/>Mr Anbu said, anyone who picks up an arm and is against the state, is a terrorist and the Army will deal with them. <br/><br/>He said, the enemy is frustrated and is trying softer targets and when they fail at borders, they attack on camps. <br/><br/>The Lieutenant General also said, social media is responsible for increase in terror activities as it is engaging the youth at a large scale. He said, there is a need to focus on this issue.<br/>He said, Army has to concentrate on three things, first to stop infiltration, secondly to eliminate the anti-nationals in the hinterland and thirdly to arrest the radical elements active in the region. <br/><br/>The Army Commander said, so far Rs. 364 crore have been spent on security gadgets in the state.<br/><br/>The statement came after the recent Sunjwan terror attack in which six soldiers were martyred, a civilian died, 10 injured and three terrorists were killed.
