In Jammu & Kashmir, the Army has organized a recruitment rally in a bid to attract more youth towards the force. This was held for the first time after Centre revoked special status of J&K under Article 370 on August 5. More than 2000 youth attended the rally, which was held at J&K Light Infantry Regimental (JAKLI) Centre at Rangreth yesterday.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The Army Headquarters has recently released 2,780 vacancies for recruitment into JAKLI. Army said, the vacancies released this year are double the number of vacancies released in the past.  At Rangreth, the youth had queued up for the rally. The rally would continue till today. Brigadier S R Sharma, told reporters that the number of participants was huge compared to the previous recruitments. In past recruitment rallies, where the number of aspirants would not pass 1200, the recruitment rally was attended by over 2000.  He said, the participants were from all the districts of the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.</span><br />
