Indian Army is offering all assistance to the family of the Lance Naik Roy Mathew, who reportedly committed suicide. <br/><br/>In a press release, the Army said, the complaint has been lodged with the local police and an enquiry has been ordered to investigate the circumstances leading to his death. <br/><br/>Preliminary investigation revealed that the suicide may be result of a series of events which were triggered by media personnel trying to videograph the deceased by asking leading question on his duties as a buddy without his knowledge. <br/><br/>The release said, it is very likely that the guilt factor of letting down his superiors or conveying false impression to an unknown individual led to take the extreme steps. <br/><br/>It said, there is no question of enquiry that could have been ordered against the deceased as identity of the army personnel involved in the clipping was hidden.<br/><br/>'The Lance Naik Mathew, a serving soldier in Devlali was reported missing on 25th of last month. He was declared absent without leave and apprehension roll was registered with the police till his body was recovered form an abandoned barrack in Devlali cantonment.
