Army-Navy sailing expedition flagged off from Kochi

In Kerala, a joint sailing expedition by the Army and the Navy was flagged off on Monday from the Naval Base at Kochi. The expedition is part of the jointmanship initiatives following the affiliation of the Naval Gunnery School, INS Dronacharya with the Indian Army Artillery School, Devlali. Three officers and 17 soldiers are taking part in the expedition, being undertaken on three sail boats. The expedition was flagged off by the Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command, Rear Admiral S S Jamwal and General Officer Commanding, 41 Artillery Division, Major General G S Narang. The boats are expected to reach Mumbai on the 3rd of February.
