Chief of Army Staff General VK Singh today addressed a Sainik rally in Tonk in Rajasthan. This rally was attended by a large number of veterans and war widows.

Indian Army has declared year 2012 as ‘Year of the Veterans’ and this programme was organised under this series.

Lt Gen Gyan Bhushan, General Officer Commanding in Chief South Western Command, serving and retired Armed Forces personnel and Government officials were also present on the occasion.

Gen. Singh also felicitated war widows on this occasion. Three disabled soldiers were given financial assistance.
