In Jammu & Kashmir, the Army this evening launched operation to flush out militants in Dogripora Awantipora area in Pulwama district, which is around 32 Kms in south of Srinagar headquarters.<br/><br/>An Army spokesman told AIR that on a tip off the joint operation of Army and Special Operations Group of State Police was launched this evening to track down militants in Dogripora Awantipora area in Pulwama district.<br/><br/>He said there was initial exchange of fire between security forces and the militants. The spokesman added that there is no report of fatal casualty or injury on either sides till now and the operation is in progress. Sources said that two militants are believed to be holed up in the area.
