Army launches anti- infiltration operation against militants, suspected Pak special troops in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Army has launched a major anti- infiltration operation against militants and suspected Pakistan special troops. The operation is on in an area in Keran sector along Line of Control.

Briefing News Persons Lt General Gurmit Singh said in Srinagar that the army is in total control of the operation which was launched on the 24th of last month. He said the on going operation give the indication that there are definitely some special Pakistani troops holed up there.

He said five soldiers have been injured in the operation that entered the ninth day today. All the injured soldiers have been admitted to hospital and they are stable.
