In Jammu and Kashmir, an army Jawan and a woman were killed in Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control in Poonch district today. <br/><br/>Defence sources said, four others including two army men and two women seriously injured. Sources said, Rifleman Bimal Tamang hailing from Dharan in Nepal succumbed to his injuries, while two other army jawans were injured seriously in Pakistani firing in Balakote sector this afternoon.<br/><br/>Three women were critically injured when shells fired by Pakistani army landed in their houses in Mendhar sector. One woman succumbed to injuries in the hospital. <br/><br/>Our correspondent reports that heavy exchange of gunfire between Indian and Pakistani forces, that started this morning, after, Pakistani forces resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing in the area, lasted till this evening. <br/><br/>Earlier, the Pakistani forces last night resorted to shelling in R.S.Pura and Hiranagar sectors along the International border which prompted the BSF to give a befitting reply to silent the guns across the border.
