An army jawan was killed today in gunbattle with terrorists as the army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Defence spokesman S N Acharya said, army personnel observed a suspicious movement along the LoC in Krishnagati sector at around 3 PM and challenged the terrorists. Lance Naik Govind Singh was injured in the firing and died while being rushed to hospital. The area has been cordoned off and operation was going on when the last reports came in.
