An Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter flying an operational sortie crashed near Banglajaap village in West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday. The chopper with two pilots on board had taken off from Senge village at 9 am today morning and was en route to Missamari and lost contact midway. Immediately a search and rescue operation was launched by five parties of the Indian Army, SSB and ITBP. <br />'' <br />''A release issued by the Army informed that the pilot and the co-pilot of the helicopter lost their lives in the accident. A Court of Inquiry is being ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
