In Jammu and Kashmir, Army today foiled a major infiltration bid by killing three heavily armed militants in an encounter along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector. Defence PRO told AIR that militants were eliminated by the alert Army troops while they were trying to infiltrate into the Indian territory. <br/><br/>The operation was launched this evening when the infiltration bid was detected by the surveillance devices. A massive combing and search operation has been lunched in the area. The foiling of infiltration bid has been looked upon as a major success to army troops keeping vigil at the LoC.
