Army today foiled an infiltration bid along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. A defence spokesperson said, a group of militants tried to enter the Indian side along the Line of Control in forward belt of Poonch district early this morning, adding that the Army troops guarding the borderline fired upon the militants and foiled the infiltration bid.

A fresh infiltration bid by militants was foiled by alert troops in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.<br/><br/>According to official sources, the Pakistan Army on Friday tried to push a group of militants into Indian side under the cover of heavy rains and thunder storm on the Line of Control (LoC) at Shahpur Kirni sector in Poonch district but the attempt was foiled by the alert troops on this side.<br/>
