Army Chief General Dalbir Singh hosted an "At Home" at his residence in New Delhi on the occasion of Army Day this evening. <br/><br/>President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, several Union Ministers and other dignitaries were among those who attended the function.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Modi presented certificates to officers of the Army for unique innovations in areas such as communications, counter-terror operations and simulation. <br/><br/>The innovators also explained their work to Mr Modi.A small documentary on the history and achievements of Indian Army was shown on the occasion.
