Army Day celebrations: Grand Army Symphony band concert held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Park in Lucknow

On the eve of Army Day celebrations in Lucknow, a grand Army Symphony band concert was held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Park. The concert was attended by over 7500 people, including senior dignitaries, veterans, Armed Forces personnel, and citizens of Lucknow. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff, Gen Manoj Pande, and GOC-in-C Central Command, Lt Gen Raja Subramani attended the event. The event was a musical extravaganza which showcased martial and patriotic tunes by the Army Symphony band, composed of over 120 Army personnel. This is the first time that an Army Symphony band concert was held as part of Army Day celebrations and the event was open to the public. Speaking on the occasion Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh applauded the Army for organising a mesmerising symphony band concert. He said it is a matter of pride that Army Day is being organised in Lucknow this year.<br />''<br />''The concert which lasted for close to an hour was filled with patriotic and martial tunes which enthralled the audience. Crowds braved the winter chill to enjoy the melodious tunes of the Symphony Band which also played a medley of popular songs and drew a standing ovation from the large crowd. Earlier, Army Day 2024 celebrations kicked off with the traditional "Swagat Samaroh", (welcome ceremony) at Army Commander's residence in Lucknow Cantonment. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pande, were present on the occasion. All the senior dignitaries interacted with Veer Naris, veterans, award winners, and other serving personnel and their families.<br />'' <br />''
