In Assam, two columns of army continue flag march at Rangia in Kamrup district after angry mob set ablaze a bus. Administration imposed indefinite curfew at the Rangia Revenue Circle as a precautionary measure. AIR correspondent reports that Assam government has decided to send a group of ministers to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka tomorrow to take stock of the situation in the wake of mass exodus of people of the North East. Security measures have been beefed up in BTAD and adjoining areas following some stray incidents in the last 24 hours. Police has taken prompt action against miscreants involved in these incidents. State Law and Order IGP said that police has arrested five people today in connection with an incident of attacked by acid on an auto rickshaw at Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar district.At least nine people were injured whey were returning to their homes from the relief camps. In another incident, 65 people were detained for questioning in Baska district for allegedly torching a vehicle last night. Assam government has already set 104 fixed pickets for the protection and security of the villagers in vulnerable areas. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that more such pickets will be set up if necessary.
