The Army Chief, General Bikram Singh alongwith Western Army Commander visited Vajra Corps in Jalandhar, on Thursday, and reviewed the operational preparedness of the Corps. This was his first visit to this striking corps after assuming the charge of the Chief of Army Staff.
The General expressed satisfaction on the state of readiness of the corps. While addressing officers , Gen Bikram Singh emphasized on requirement of maintaining the highest standards of operational preparedness and discipline.
He emphasized on value based leadership, as per legacy of the Indian Army. He said there is requirement of regular interaction with veterans to imbibe the rich ethos of our predecessors.
