Army Chief visits Uttarakhand to mark centenary of 3rd Kumaon Rifles today

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat visited Pithoragarh Region of Kumaon district in Uttarakhand to mark the centenary of Third Kumaon Rifles today. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, he said that Indian army is one of the strongest armies in the world due to its committed regiments and personnel 3rd Kumaon Rifles have a glorious tradition of bravery. <br/><br/>While addressing the soldiers, he stated that special attention will be given to Pithoragarh district as its border areas are connected with China and Nepal. <br/><br/>General Rawat assured that, the responsibility of soldiers and their family's lies with the Central government. He said that no compromise will be made as far as National security and the pride of the soldiers are concerned.
