Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh today visited slain soldier Hemraj's
family in his native village near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Sharing the grief of the family, he assured the family that all their aspirations will be addressed. General Singh is visiting martyr Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh at his native village Dadhiya village in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. On 8th of this month, two Indian soldiers were killed by Pakistani troops near LoC.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that those responsible for the crime of killing and mutilating the bodies of Indian soldiers will have to be brought to book. Dr. Manmohan Singh said business with Pakistan cannot be as usual after the barbaric act along the Line of Control. Asked about Pakistan being in denial mode, the Prime Minister hoped that Pakistan will realise this.
