Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat has said, the security situation in Kashmir Valley recently has improved considerably and the Army is capable enough to deal with any security-related challenge across the State. <br/><br/>Addressing media persons on the sidelines of an Army function in Jammu today, the Army Chief said, the terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) are still intact and the Army has been dealing effectively with the attempts of infiltration from across the Line of Control (LoC).<br/><br/>The Army Chief further said that the enquiry into the terror attacks in Uri and Nagrota has been completed and all possible measures have been ensured that the terrorists are not able to target military establishments in Jammu and Kashmir any more.<br/><br/>Earlier the Chief of Army Staff presented the President's Standard to the 47 Armoured Regiment. It was a historic moment at the Jammu-based Sunjwan Military Station when General Rawat presented the President's Standard on behalf of President Ram Nath Kovind.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion Gen Rawat complemented the regiment for its excellent services and said that the President's Standard is an award that epitomizes the history, undaunting spirit and acts of valour forged in sweat and blood of the regiment. Raised in 1982, the 47 Armoured Regiment has won the President's Standard for its meritorious service of more than three decades. The regiment operated primarily along the nation's western borders.
