Army Chief Reviews Security Situation After Terrorist Attack in Rajouri-Poonch Sector

<span style="color: #222222;">Army Chief Gen. Manoj Pande today reviewed the ground situation in Rajouri-Poonch sector in the aftermath of a terrorist attack on two Army Vehicles last week. He was briefed by the senior Army brass there about the ongoing counter-terrorist operations and steps taken to further strengthen the security grid. The Army Chief soon after arrival in Jammu left for Poonch to review the situation. The Chief of the army Staff also interacted with commanders on ground, exhorted them to conduct the operations in the most professional manner.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, according to sources, Indian Army has attached the Brigade Commander of the 13 Sector Rashtriya Rifles whose unit is looking after operations in Surankote in a formal inquiry related to the death of 3 civilians in the area. The civilians were allegedly taken in custody by Army troops for interrogation after an attack on Army convoy. The inquiry will also look into the recurrent loss of Army troops in terrorist attacks in the area of responsibility of the officer in recent times. </span><br />
