The Indian Army Chief General V K Singh is visiting Sri Lanka from tomorrow on a five-day official trip. He will be accompanied by 10 other senior army officials. The objective of the visit is to strengthen mutual understanding and co-operation between the Armys of the two countries. This will be the highest ranking delegation of Indian army officials to visit there since the dawn of peace in Sri Lanka. During his visit the General will meet President Mahinda Rajapakse, the Prime Minister and heads of Sri Lankan security forces.
